Already own a ring that fits?

This is the most reliable method. A ring you already wear tells you exactly what you need to know.

    1. Choose Your Ring
Use a ring that fits the finger you’re buying for.

    2. Measure Diameter
Lay it flat and measure the inside edge to edge in mm.

    3. Match Your Size
Find your measurement in the chart below for your ring size.

    Ring Size Chart by Diameter

At Caratmoon Jewelry, we use US and Canadian sizes.

Diameter (mm) US Size UK and Australia Europe
    14.1 mm 3 F 46
    14.9 mm 4 H 48
    15.7 mm 5 J 50
    16.5 mm 6 L 52
    17.3 mm 7 N 54
    18.1 mm 8 P 57
    18.9 mm 9 R 60
    19.8 mm 10 T 62
    20.6 mm 11 V 64
    21.4 mm 12 X 67
    22.2 mm 13 Z 70
    23.0 mm 14 Z+2 72
    • 1. Between sizes? Go up

A slightly loose ring is comfortable to wear and can be adjusted by a local jeweller if needed. One that is too tight is not, and it is harder to fix.

    • 2. Measure at end of day.

Fingers are slimmer in the morning and a little fuller by evening. End-of-day measurement gives the size that works in real life, not just first thing.

    • 3. Cold hands measure smaller

If you have just come in from outside, give your hands a few minutes to warm up before measuring. Temperature genuinely shifts the result.

    • 4. Wide bands fit tighter

A wide band covers more of the finger and feels snugger than a thin band of the same size. If choosing a wider style, size up by one for comfort.

    • 5. Dominant hand runs larger

Most people's dominant hand is marginally bigger than the other. If you measured your left but plan to wear on your right, factor that in.

    • 6. Knuckles wider than base?

Size to your knuckle. The ring needs to pass over the widest point. Once on, it settles comfortably at the base. A ring adjuster can help if needed.

No ring at home? Measure your finger

This takes about two minutes. All you need is a thin strip of paper, a pen, and a ruler.

      1. Cut a Strip
      Use paper, string, or ribbon.

      2. Wrap Around Finger
      Wrap snugly, not too tight.

      3. Mark the Point
      Mark where the ends meet.

      4. Measure & Match
Measure in mm and check the size chart.

      Ring Size Chart by Circumference

At Caratmoon Jewelry, we use US and Canadian sizes.

Circumference (mm) US Size UK and Australia Europe
      44.2 mm 3 F 46
      46.8 mm 4 H 48
      49.4 mm 5 J 50
      51.9 mm 6 L 52
      54.4 mm 7 N 54
      56.9 mm 8 P 57
      59.4 mm 9 R 60
      62.3 mm 10 T 62
      64.0 mm 11 V 64
      66.5 mm 12 X 67

      Not sure about the size?

Some situations make sizing genuinely tricky. Adjustable rings take that uncertainty off the table entirely.

      1. Best Method
Borrow a ring they already wear and measure the inner diameter.

      2. No Ring?
Women usually wear US 6–7, men US 9–10.

      3. Still Unsure?
Choose an adjustable ring or use a ring adjuster.

      Questions We Get Most

What is the difference between diameter and circumference?

The diameter is the measurement straight across the inside of a ring. The circumference is the measurement around the outside of your finger. Both lead to the same size result. Use whichever method suits what you have available: a ring at home, or just paper and a ruler.

My measurement falls between two sizes. Which do I choose?

Always go with the larger size. A ring that sits slightly loose is comfortable to wear and can be made snugger with a ring adjuster. One that is too small is uncomfortable and harder to resize without a jeweller.

Can I exchange my ring if the size is not right?

Yes. Caratmoon accepts size exchanges on unworn rings returned in their original packaging within the returns window. Get in touch with the team and they will sort it out. You can also use a ring adjuster in the short term while the exchange is processed.

What is a ring adjuster and when should I use one?

A ring adjuster is a small clip or coil that sits on the inside of a ring band to reduce the effective size slightly. If your ring is one half-size too large, a ring adjuster is a quick, inexpensive fix. They work particularly well on thinner bands and are a good option before going through a full exchange.

Are all Caratmoon jewelry rings genuine 925 sterling silver?

Every single one. The 925 hallmark confirms 92.5% pure silver content and is on every piece in the collection. Some pieces have 14k gold or 18k rose gold plating over the silver base, which is always stated clearly in the product description.
